Getting from the airport to the city in Andorra

This is the whole planning problem, and it has two answers.

• Both run direct from the airport terminals to the national bus station in Andorra la Vella. You do not need to go into Barcelona or Toulouse first.
• Book ahead. These are scheduled coaches with reserved seats, not a turn-up service, and they fill in the ski season.
• Barcelona has far more flights; Toulouse is sometimes quicker and less crowded.
• The nearest airport of all is neither of them. Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell (LEU) is 12 km south of the border, in Spain, and Iberia flies there twice a week from Madrid and Palma. The runway is 1,267 m, which is why that is the whole timetable - useful if one of those two flights fits your day, useless otherwise.
• Andbus and Direct Bus are the main operators, along with several transfer companies.

• Barcelona for flight choice and price.
• Toulouse if you are coming from northern Europe or if the Barcelona coach times do not suit.
• Allow for the mountain road. The last stretch climbs hard and winter conditions slow it further; in snow, budget more than three hours.

• Two roads in, and both become Andorran roads at the border. From Spain the N-145 meets the CG-1 at La Farga de Moles; from France the N22 meets the CG-2 at Pas de la Casa.
• The Envalira pass is inside Andorra, not on the French side of the border. It sits on the CG-2 between Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig, so a closure there cuts Pas de la Casa off from the rest of the country rather than from France.
• The Envalira is high - 2,408 m, the highest paved road in the Pyrenees - and closes in bad weather. The tunnel underneath it is about 2.9 km long and stays open when the pass does not. Since 1 January 2026 a car pays EUR 8.10, a motorcycle EUR 4.80 - and the toll is waived entirely while the pass is shut by weather, which is the one time you have no choice about using it.
• Winter tyres or chains are required in the season, and enforced.
