Baku Airport (GYD) to the city
The Aeroexpress runs to Baku Railway Station in 30 minutes for 1.30 AZN, but only on a BAKU KART that costs 2 AZN to buy.
- The Aeroexpress fare is 1.30 AZN, and it runs from Terminals 1 and 2 to Baku Railway Station at the 28 May metro.
- You cannot pay cash. You need a BAKU KART, which costs 2 AZN and is bought from terminals near the bus stops outside the exits.
- One card can be used by a group, so a family buys one card and loads it.
- The journey takes 30 minutes, calling at Surakhani bridge and Koroglu metro.
- Every 20 minutes from 06:00 to 23:15, then every 45 minutes through the night.
- The card has unlimited validity and also works on the Baku metro and city buses.
The card comes first
- 1.30 AZN per Aeroexpress journey, but only on a BAKU KART.
- The card itself is 2 AZN, bought from BAKU CARD terminals near the bus stops outside the terminal exits.
- One card can serve a whole group. You load money on it and tap once per passenger.
- It has unlimited validity and works on the metro and city buses too, so it is not a wasted purchase.
The service

- Thirty minutes, with stops at the Surakhani bridge and Koroglu metro station.
- Every 20 minutes from 06:00 to 23:15, every 45 minutes from 23:15 to 06:00.
- The H1 route runs 24 hours, which covers the late night arrivals this airport is full of.
Why it matters
- Baku airport is 20 km from the city, and taxis at the rank are a different order of price.
- Buying the card takes two minutes at the machine and saves that.
