Everyday health

• Tap water is generally safe in Pristina; bottled is the safer default elsewhere.
• Pharmacies (barnatore) are well stocked in towns.
• Air quality in Pristina is poor in winter, as in Skopje and Sarajevo - coal heating in a basin.
• Stray dogs are common; seek treatment immediately after any bite.
