EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse (BSL) to Basel, France and Germany
The terminal has a Swiss exit and a French exit with different buses; pick the wrong one and your connection is on the other side.
- The terminal has two exits into two countries. The Swiss sector forecourt has the buses to Basel; the French sector forecourt has the buses to Alsace and Germany. They are not interchangeable, and you choose before you leave the building.
- To Basel: bus line 50 from the Swiss sector, direct to Basel SBB railway station, every 7 to 10 minutes from 04:30 to midnight, about 20 minutes.
- To France: bus line 11 from the French sector, to Saint-Louis SNCF station, every 15 to 30 minutes from 05:00 to midnight, about 10 to 15 minutes. Trains from there run to Mulhouse, Colmar and Strasbourg every half hour.

- To Germany: bus 220 from the French sector to Loerrach and Weil am Rhein, every 30 minutes from 04:30 to midnight, or an hourly coach to Freiburg in about an hour.
The thing that makes this airport different
EuroAirport is a single terminal operated jointly by Switzerland and France, sitting on French soil with a customs-controlled road corridor to Basel. In practice that means one building with two arrivals exits, and the one you walk through determines which country's transport network you are standing in.
Neither side is wrong. But if your hotel is in Basel and you follow the French exit, the bus you want is on the other side of the terminal - and vice versa.
Into Switzerland
Bus line 50, run by BVB, leaves the terminal forecourt in the Swiss sector and runs direct to Basel SBB railway station: every 7 to 10 minutes, 04:30 to midnight, about 20 minutes. From Basel SBB there are trains to Zurich, Bern, Lausanne and Lucerne, plus regional S-Bahn services every half hour.
For long-distance trains into Germany, take bus 50 to Basel SBB and then tram 2 to Basel Badischer Bahnhof, which is the German railway station on the Swiss side of the city.
Into France
Bus line 11, run by Distribus, leaves the forecourt in the French sector for Saint-Louis SNCF station: every 15 to 30 minutes, 05:00 to midnight, a ride of 10 to 15 minutes. Tickets can be bought by SMS - send EAP to 93400, EUR 3. From Saint-Louis, direct TER trains run to Mulhouse, Colmar, Selestat and Strasbourg every 30 minutes.
Into Germany
Also from the French sector: bus 220 to Loerrach and Weil am Rhein via Huningue and Saint-Louis, every 30 minutes from 04:30 to midnight, with S-Bahn connections at either end. A Freiburger Reisedienst coach runs hourly to the central bus station in Freiburg, next to the main railway station, in about 60 minutes.
