Before you need them

• 907 is an Addis Ababa number. Outside the capital, your hotel or tour operator is the first call, and that is not a shortcut but the actual system.
• Keep your embassy's number saved offline, because the networks can be closed with no notice and a saved number in a cloud contacts list is not a saved number.
• Have a written note of your accommodation's address in Amharic. A driver who cannot read your phone can read that.
