Getting around Liechtenstein: transport and apps

LIEmobil

• One operator runs every bus in the country.
• Liechtenstein is about 25 km long and 12 km wide - the network covers all of it and buses are frequent.
• There is no railway station inside the country worth using. Two Austrian trains stop at Schaan-Vaduz, but the service is minimal; the bus is the transport system.
• Buses connect to Sargans, Buchs and Feldkirch across both borders.

Malbun

• The mountain village of Malbun is the ski area and is reached by bus from Vaduz in about half an hour.
• It is small - a handful of lifts - and quiet.

Walking and cycling

• The Rhine cycle path runs the length of the country and is flat and easy.
• The mountain trails above Triesenberg and Malbun are the serious walking.
