Dammam (DMM): the bus into the city is SAR 3.45 and the prepaid taxi is SAR 100, from the same hall
King Fahd is 35 km from Dammam and 47 km from Al Khobar, and both the bus counter and the taxi desk are in the Ground Transportation Center on the arrivals level. The bus costs SAR 3.45 and takes an hour; the taxi is a fixed SAR 100 paid in advance. The bus stops at 23:30.
- The airport is not in Dammam. The operator's own table: Dammam 35.6 km and 25 minutes, Al Qatif 36.5 km and 30 minutes, Dhahran 36.5 km and 35 minutes, Al Khobar 46.8 km and 40 minutes.
- Manama in Bahrain is 103 km and about 90 minutes, closer in time than several Saudi towns.
- The bus to Dammam city centre is SAR 3.45 and takes about an hour. Direct, no change.
- Khobar is the same SAR 3.45, via Dammam station, also about an hour.
- Buses run 05:30 to 23:30, every 30 minutes. A flight landing after midnight has no bus.
- Bus counters and boarding points are in the Ground Transportation Center on the Arrivals Level, with staff. Enquiries: 920000877.
- Taxi fares are paid in advance, not on the meter. The airport says so.
- The published taxi tariff: Dammam SAR 100, Dammam West SAR 85, Al Khobar SAR 115, Al Qatif SAR 90, Al Rakah SAR 100, Half Moon SAR 135.
- King Fahd Causeway SAR 125, and the toll is not included.
- Al Jubail SAR 145, Jubail Industrial Area SAR 155, Ras Tanura SAR 100, Al Hafuf SAR 300.
- Long distance is on the same list: Riyadh SAR 550, Taif SAR 1,200, Makkah SAR 1,400, Madinah SAR 1,400, Jeddah SAR 1,500.
- Taxis are at the Ground Transportation Center on the Arrivals Level. SATCO is on +966 50 415 8698.
- Uber and Careem both operate here. The airport names them and signs a rideshare pick-up zone near the arrivals exit of each terminal.
- The kerb is for immediate loading and unloading only. Unattended cars may be towed; if you are early, use the car park.
Three cities, none of them next door
- King Fahd sits in open desert and the operator publishes the drive to each place people actually want: Dammam 35.6 km, 25 minutes. Al Qatif 36.5 km, 30 minutes. Dhahran 36.5 km, 35 minutes. Al Khobar 46.8 km, 40 minutes. Jubail 93.4 km, 60 minutes. Manama 103 km, 90 minutes.
- Dammam, Dhahran and Al Khobar are three different destinations and the fare differs between them, so know which one your hotel is in before you reach the counter.
The bus, and the 29-fold gap
- SAR 3.45 to Dammam city centre, direct, about one hour. SAR 3.45 to Khobar via Dammam station, also about an hour.
- Working hours 05:30 to 23:30, departures every 30 minutes. That is the constraint: the Gulf's late-night arrival banks land outside it, and there is then no bus at all.
- Counters and boarding points are in the Ground Transportation Center on the Arrivals Level, staffed. Enquiries: 920000877.
- The taxi to the same place is SAR 100. The bus is under a thirtieth of that and leaves from the same hall, which is worth knowing before you join the taxi queue by default.
Taxis are prepaid, at a published tariff
- "Taxi fares are paid in advance for a smooth experience." That is the airport's own wording: you buy the trip at the desk, you do not watch a meter.

- Two entries on that list read Salwa and al Adeed Governor at SAR 350 and SAR 300, the same wording at two prices. The airport publishes both, so the page does too.

Ride-hailing
- Uber and Careem both work at King Fahd. The airport's ride-share tab names them by name, and its pick-up card is titled "Rideshare Pick-up (Uber/Careem)", with designated pick-up areas near the arrivals exit of each terminal and separate rideshare drop-off points. King Fahd International Airport (DMM) also appears on Uber's own list of airports it serves.
The kerb
- Drop-off is at the departure curbside on the upper level, and it is for immediate unloading only: "Unattended vehicles are not allowed and may be towed."
- Pick-up is at the arrivals curbside, also immediate loading only, and the airport tells you to use the short-term car park if you arrive early.
The only parking tariff King Fahd publishes is the valet one, and the long-term car park is across the road
The airport prints valet rates and nothing else: self-parking has no published price and is routed to Mawgif's quote tool. The long-term car park is not beside the terminal but across King Fahd Road, on a 24/7 shuttle.
- Valet in the short-term area: SAR 34.5 for the first 1 to 2 hours, then SAR 17.25 for each additional hour.
- Valet in the long-term area: SAR 172.5 for 24 hours.
- Losing the valet ticket costs SAR 143.75.
- Valet is paid at the counter only. Cash, Mada, Mastercard, Visa and Apple Pay. Online payment is not available.
- The valet counter is at Departure Level, entrance gate 5.
- On return the car is brought to the handover area in about five minutes, on production of the ticket.
- No self-parking tariff is published on the airport's transport page. It sends you to Mawgif for a quote instead.
- Mawgif's quotes exclude VAT, and it offers a Multi-storey Car Park and a first and business class area.
- Mawgif's support line is open Saturday to Thursday, 08:00 to 17:00, so it is shut on Fridays.
- The long-term car park is not at the terminal. It is along King Fahd Road coming from Dammam, opposite the terminal building.
- A 24/7 shuttle bus connects the long-term car park to the terminal.
- All multi-storey parking levels connect directly to the terminal, with signs to follow.
The published prices are valet prices
- The two rate cards on the airport's parking page are headed "Valet in Short Term Parking Area" and "Valet in Long Term Parking Area". Everything they contain is a valet price.
- Short-term valet: SAR 34.5 for the first 1 to 2 hours, then SAR 17.25 for each additional hour. Long-term valet: SAR 172.5 for 24 hours. Lost ticket: SAR 143.75.
- The valet counter is at Departure Level, entrance gate 5. You hand over the keys and the car details, and you get a ticket you must keep.
- Payment is at the counter, and only at the counter. The airport lists cash, Mada, Mastercard, Visa and Apple Pay, and states plainly that online payment is not available. On return, the car reaches the handover area in about five minutes.
Self-parking has no printed price
- The airport publishes no self-parking tariff. The page offers a cost calculator and a button to Mawgif, the parking operator, at mawgif.com/dmmbooking. Mawgif quotes for a Multi-storey Car Park and a first and business class area, and its quotes are before VAT.
- Mawgif's customer team works Saturday to Thursday, 08:00 to 17:00 Arabian Standard Time, which means no support on a Friday.
Where the long-term car park actually is
- It is across the road. The airport describes it as along King Fahd Road coming from Dammam, opposite the terminal building, with lowest parking fees, 24/7 security and surveillance and a 24/7 shuttle bus to and from the terminal building.
- The multi-storey parking is the one attached to the terminal: all parking levels are directly connected to the terminal, following the signs.
