Innsbruck (INN): bus F every 15 minutes, and it is a short ride
Bus F is the only public route and it is the right one: it runs to the Hauptbahnhof through the city centre roughly every quarter of an hour, and the whole trip is 15 to 20 minutes.
- Bus F is the airport bus. It runs between the terminal and Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof by way of the city centre.
- Every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes on Sundays and public holidays. Evenings thin out.
- The ride is 15 to 20 minutes depending on which source you read, and about 12 to 13 minutes as far as Anichstrasse for the Altstadt.
- A single ticket is 2.60 to 3.00 euro depending on the source and where you buy it. Buy at the machine at the stop rather than from the driver.
- The stop is immediately outside the terminal, a short walk from arrivals.
- First departure from the Hauptbahnhof around 05:30, last from the airport around 23:00.
- A taxi is about 15 minutes and 12 to 15 euro on the meter. This is one of the cheaper airport taxi rides in the Alps.
- The airport is only 5 km from the centre, which is why none of these numbers are large.
- Ski resort transfers leave from the same forecourt and are a separate, much more expensive market.
Bus F
- There is one public transport route from Innsbruck airport and it is bus F. It goes to Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof through the middle of the city, and it is the route every source agrees on.
- The stop is right outside the terminal. You do not need to cross a road or find a separate bus station.
- Frequency is every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays it drops to every 30 minutes, and late at night the gaps get longer still.
- The first bus from the Hauptbahnhof is around 05:30 and the last one from the airport is around 23:00 to 23:30.

- Take that as 15 to 20 minutes and 2.60 to 3.00 euro. The airport's own site is behind a bot filter and could not be read for this page, so these are three independent publishers rather than the operator.
- Buy at the ticket machine at the stop. Buying from the driver costs more.
- For the Altstadt, get off at Anichstrasse or Rathausgalerien, roughly 12 to 13 minutes out, rather than riding to the station.
Taxi
- The rank is directly in front of the terminal and fares are metered.
- Expect about 12 to 15 euro and about 15 minutes into the centre.
- That is genuinely cheap for a ski-country airport. The expensive market here is the resort transfer, not the city run.
Where you actually are
- The airport sits 5 km southwest of the city centre, at the western end of the Inn valley, which is why the bus ride is so short.
- Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof is the onward hub for trains to the rest of Austria and to Italy and Germany, and it is a ten minute walk from the old town.
