Buses 16 and 29 run into the city and the station, and they cost nothing at all.

The bus into the city is free. So is every other bus, tram and train in Luxembourg - the country abolished public transport fares in March 2020.
Lines 16 and 29 run to the city centre and the railway station in about 20 to 25 minutes.
There is no ticket to buy, no card to tap and no machine to find. You get on.
The airport is about 6 km from the centre - among the shortest transfers in Europe.
Taxis are available and expensive, which is a hard sell against a free bus.

Since 1 March 2020 all public transport in Luxembourg has been free of charge, for residents and visitors alike.
Luxembourg is the only country in the world to have done this.
It applies in second class; first class on trains still costs, and cross-border journeys are free only to the border.

Bus 16 and 29 connect Findel with the city centre and Luxembourg railway station, in roughly 20 to 25 minutes.
The tram runs through Kirchberg and the centre to the station and connects to the airport road.
Luxembourg station puts Trier, Metz, Brussels and Paris within reach.

Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN), despite the name, is about 120 km away in Germany and is a completely different airport with a two-hour coach into Frankfurt. It has its own page here.
