Ostend (OST): bus 6 from platform 3 at the station
De Lijn bus 6, signed Raversijde via Luchthaven, runs between Ostend railway station and the terminal every ten minutes and takes about fifteen.
- Bus 6 is the airport bus. Its destination board reads "Raversijde via Luchthaven".
- It leaves from platform 3 at Ostend railway station.
- The ride takes about 15 minutes.
- There is a bus to or from the airport every 10 minutes, which is unusually good for an airport this size.
- It stops just in front of the passenger building. No walk across a car park.
- Ostend station is the anchor. Take a train there first from anywhere in Belgium; the airport's own advice is to travel to Ostend by rail.
- The coastal tram platforms are integrated into Ostend station, so the Belgian coast is reachable with one change.
- De Lijn operates it. A single ticket is 3 euro and lasts 60 minutes.
- Buy in the De Lijn app, contactlessly on board, or at a machine.
- The airport is branded Ostend-Bruges, but Bruges is a train ride away, not a bus ride. Plan via Ostend station.

- The airport's own instruction is simple: take the train to Ostend, then bus 6 from platform 3 at the station. The destination board reads "Raversijde via Luchthaven".
- The ride is about 15 minutes.
- Buses run every 10 minutes in each direction.
- The stop is immediately in front of the passenger building.

Getting to Ostend station
- Ostend is a terminus on the Belgian national network, with direct trains from Brussels, Ghent and Bruges.
- The coastal tram platforms are part of the same station, so if you are heading to Knokke, De Panne or anywhere else along the coast you change once, at Ostend.
The name
- The airport is called Ostend-Bruges, and Bruges is not next door. The public transport link is via Ostend station and then a train; there is no direct airport bus to Bruges.
Tickets
- A De Lijn single is 3.00 euro, valid 60 minutes. That covers the airport bus with room to spare.
- Buy in the app or online, contactlessly on the vehicle, at a Lijnwinkel or a machine. A text to 4884 also works, with a 0.25 euro operator charge.
- Children under six travel free with a paying passenger of at least 12.
