Getting from the airport

Between NAIA 3 and Clark there are published departures through most of the day; The Poor Traveler, a secondary but fresh source, lists ₱450 each way, with timetables updated as of March 2026.
- Mactan-Cebu - less transparent than Manila. There is an official airport transport guide and publicly circulating MyBus timetables, but the information is less clean and stable, and secondary sources disagree on the fare, quoting ₱25 vs ₱50. Treat it as only partially verified and confirm on site, in the app or at the counter.

Taxi overcharging is still the most common scam after arriving in Manila, confirmed by both official Smartraveller advice and recent reddit experience. A fresh r/phtravel report does describe a good experience with a coupon taxi post-midnight when Grab was unavailable. The practical takeaway: default to Grab, and treat a coupon taxi as an acceptable fallback when it is a genuinely official counter with a fixed rate card.
