- The 72 is the cheapest way into Belgrade, and it is cheaper still if you find a newsstand before boarding. Nothing at the airport stops you buying on the bus, it just costs 150 instead of 89.
- The A1 is more than three times the newsstand fare but goes to Slavija, which is closer to most central accommodation than Zeleni Venac, and it is a minibus rather than a city bus with standing room.
- All three options take the same 30 to 40 minutes. You are paying for where you end up and for comfort, not for speed.
The voucher
- The official taxi desk is inside the arrivals hall.
- You state your destination, it issues a numbered voucher for the zone, and that is the fare.
- This exists because Belgrade airport taxi overcharging was, for years, notorious. The system works, and using it is the whole trick.

Onward
- The fast Soko train from Belgrade to Novi Sad takes about 35 minutes and is worth using.
- For southern Serbia, Nis and Sofia are worth comparing.
