Nis Airport (INI) to the city

The airport bus is free, because Nis made all city transport free on 1 July 2025; a taxi to the centre is about 250 dinars.

  • Public transport in Nis has been free for all passengers since 1 July 2025, and that includes the airport buses. There is nothing to buy and nothing to validate.
  • A taxi starts at 150 RSD on every registered company's meter, and the ride costs about 250 RSD to the city centre, rising to about 1,000 RSD to Niska Banja.
  • The rank and the car park are 50 metres from the terminal exit.
  • Circular lines 34A and 34B serve the airport, in opposite directions round the same loop.
  • They leave the airport every 15 minutes on working days and every 30 minutes at weekends.
  • Take 34A for the main bus station, the railway station and the centre, and 34B if you are staying in the upper part of the city.
  • 34B also calls at the main bus station in the other direction, so arriving by coach and continuing to the airport is one bus.

What it costs

Nis Airport (INI) to the city
OptionPrice
Bus 34A or 34Bfree
Taxi, starting fare150 RSD
Taxi to the city centreabout 250 RSD
Taxi to Niska Banjaabout 1,000 RSD
  • Free is not a promotion. Nis abolished fares on its whole city network on 1 July 2025, and the airport lines are ordinary city lines, so they went free with everything else.
  • The taxi is still cheap by European standards. About 250 RSD to the centre is roughly 2 EUR, and the starting fare of 150 RSD is most of it.
  • Niska Banja, the spa suburb east of the city, is the long fare at about 1,000 RSD.

The two loops

  • 34A and 34B run the same circle in opposite directions.
  • Board 34A at the stop right by the passenger terminal for the main bus station, the railway station and the centre.
  • Board 34B if your accommodation is in the upper part of the city.
  • Every 15 minutes on working days, every 30 minutes at weekends.

Arriving by coach

  • The stop outside the main bus station is served by the 34B loop, which brings you to the airport. Coming from Belgrade or Sofia by bus, that is a single connection.

Taxis

  • The rank is 50 metres from the terminal exit, next to the car park.
  • All registered companies charge the same 150 RSD start.
