Burgas Airport (BOJ) to the city and the resorts
A single on bus 15 is 0.80 EUR paid on board, or 0.66 EUR bought electronically with 45 minutes of transfers, prices set when Bulgaria went over to the euro on 1 January 2026.
- A single bought in the vehicle is 0.80 EUR, the price since 1 January 2026, when Bulgaria's city transport switched to euro.
- Buying electronically is cheaper: 0.66 EUR for a single with a transfer valid up to 45 minutes, 0.64 EUR each in a 30 ticket pack and 0.61 EUR each in a 50 ticket pack.
- The transfer ticket is the one that matters here, because the airport journey is always two legs.
- Bus No 15 is the airport line, running to the central bus station in Burgas.
- That station is the interchange for the coast, north and south.
- Minibuses (marshrutkas) leave it for Sunny Beach and Nessebar to the north, and for Sozopol, Primorsko and Tsarevo to the south.
- There is no direct resort bus from the airport, so budget for two legs.
- The airport is at Sarafovo, on the coast just north east of Burgas.

- The 45 minute transfer ticket is the useful one at Burgas, because nobody's journey ends at the central bus station. It costs less than paying the driver and covers the second bus.
- Prices took effect on 1 January 2026, when Bulgaria adopted the euro. Any figure you have seen in lev is historical.

Two legs, always
- Bus 15 gets you to the central bus station. That is the whole of the airport service.
- From the central bus station buses and minibuses run to the resorts to the south and to the north of the town.
- Sunny Beach and Nessebar are north, Sozopol and Primorsko south, and both directions are a separate ticket unless your transfer window still holds.
Planning
- Allow time for the change. In peak summer the bus station is busy and minibuses fill up.
- Many package holidays include a transfer here, and given the two legs that is often the sensible choice.
- The airport is at Sarafovo, on the shore a few kilometres from the town.
