Getting from Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella International Airport to the city

One line, and you cannot pay cash for it

• Aeropuertos Argentina's own public transport page for Cordoba lists a single service: Linea 25, with complaints handled by the city transport department and enquiries on +54 351 428 5600.
• Cordoba city buses do not take cash. The council's own list of accepted payment methods is: the physical and digital SUBE card, contactless Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards from any bank, NFC phones and watches, the BNA+ wallet QR and the SUBE app QR. The Red Bus card continues to work alongside SUBE during the transition.
• That contactless bank card line is the useful one for a visitor. A tap with the card already in your pocket is a valid ticket, so there is no need to queue for a local card before you can leave the airport. Older guidance saying you must buy a Red Bus card first is out of date, though Red Bus is still sold at the airport.
• The fare is ARS 2,150, in force from the first hour of Saturday 18 July 2026 after nine months at ARS 1,720.
• Transfers within an hour are free between two lines of the same company in the same direction, and cost 25 per cent of a fare between different companies.

The Aerobus, and why the description needs care

• The city tourism office describes a dedicated "Aerobus" running between the airport and the Nueva Terminal de Omnibus: low-floor vehicles, 25 seats, air conditioning, a luggage rack in the middle of the bus, every 30 minutes, seven stops, via Av. Monsenor Pablo Cabrera and Castro Barros, entering the coach station by Bulevar San Juan and Illia.
• That corridor matches Linea 25's published route, so the two are very likely the same service under two names, one of them a premium airport fare tier.
• The same tourism page quotes a city bus fare of ARS 59.35 and a Red Bus card at ARS 210, against the council's own current ARS 2,150. Its prices are years out of date, so use it for the shape of the service and nothing else.

Taxis, remises and the car park

• The taxi rank is outside, on the lower roadway at ground level. Enquiries go to +54 351 428 5600, extension 1476.
• Remises are taken from the arrivals hall, ground floor, public sector, through Carremises on 351 222 7777.
• Car hire desks, from Hertz, Avis, Localiza, Alamo, Europcar, Sixt, Cordoba Rent a Car, Kinto and Fit Car Rental, are in the arrivals hall on the ground floor, with four of them out at the southern rental car park.
• The car park gives 15 minutes of courtesy. Past that a whole hour is charged, and after the first hour billing moves to 30 minute periods with 5 minutes of tolerance.
• The airport is at Av. La Voz del Interior 8500, Cordoba.

There is an airport meter rate, and nobody has published the current one

• Cordoba city council sets taxi and remise tariffs, and it publishes a separate tariff code for airport journeys: T2 Aeropuerto.
• In the tariff table effective 16 November 2024, the ordinary flag fall was ARS 1,195 by day and ARS 1,375 at night, and alongside each of them the council published T2 Aeropuerto at ARS 4,780 by day and ARS 5,500 at night. The airport start is about four times the ordinary one.
• The most recent update, effective Saturday 11 April 2026, restated only the ordinary tariff. It raised the flag fall by 27 per cent and the distance unit by 25 per cent, giving ARS 1,900 by day and ARS 2,200 at night, with a meter unit of ARS 150 by day and ARS 175 at night for taxis and ARS 140 and ARS 165 for remises.
• It said nothing about T2 Aeropuerto. So the airport rate almost certainly moved with the rest, but the current figure is not published. Ask which tariff the meter is on before you pull away, and expect a starting figure well above the ordinary one.

Ride-hailing is new here, and it is legal now

• On 4 December 2025 the city council authorised Uber and the local firm Viaja Ya (RAI) to run passenger transport through apps, after a documentary and technical review. Cabify had already been authorised. Three more local schemes were said to be next.
• That matters because a Cordoba court suspended Uber in the city in 2019. Guidance written between those dates is wrong in both directions: it was not legal, and now it is.
• Drivers and vehicles must register in the municipal digital register, and drivers must produce a professional class D1 driving licence, workplace or personal accident insurance, national and provincial criminal record certificates with no pending cases, and a certificate of non-registration in the provincial register of people convicted of crimes against sexual integrity.
• Uber's own airport page lists COR at Av. La Voz del Interior 8500 and describes kerbside drop-off at the terminal you name when booking.
