Tivat Airport (TIV) to the Bay of Kotor

The Kamenari to Lepetane ferry that saves an hour round the bay costs 5.00 EUR for a car and nothing at all on foot or by bicycle.

  • The Lepetane to Kamenari ferry is free for foot passengers and cyclists, and 5.00 EUR for a car up to 5 m, 9.30 EUR over 5 m, 10.50 EUR for a van or truck up to 5 t, 17.50 EUR for a bus and 1.50 EUR for a motorcycle.
  • It cuts an hour off the drive around the bay in summer traffic and runs constantly.
  • A local bus to Kotor leaves the small station in the centre of Tivat every hour, on the hour, run by Blue Line.
  • Tivat is the airport for the coast, about 20 minutes from Kotor and 40 from Budva.
  • There is no airport bus. Taxis and pre booked transfers are how almost everyone arrives, and the town's taxi firms are Red Taxi, Dir Taxi and MB Taxi.
  • Agree the taxi fare before setting off. Montenegro is not a metered airport taxi culture.
  • Town parking is 5.00 EUR a day, 0.80 EUR an hour in the red zone and 0.50 EUR an hour in the yellow, if you are collecting a hire car.
  • Podgorica (TGD) is the other airport, better for the capital, the north and onward travel inland.

  • The ferry runs constantly between Lepetane, just north of Tivat, and Kamenari on the far shore.
