Ostrava Airport (OSR) to the city
The Airport Express has been free of charge since 20 April 2026, and the airport has its own railway station on line S8.
- The Airport Express (line AE) has been free of charge for passengers since Monday 20 April 2026. It used to cost 32 CZK.
- You must show the driver the required document to claim the free ride.
- It waits up to 60 minutes for a delayed flight.
- The airport also has a railway station. Line S8 runs Ostrava stred, Ostrava hlavni nadrazi, Ostrava-Svinov, Studenka and Mosnov.
- Train fares follow the ODIS tariff by distance, bought on board from the machine or the conductor, by ODISka or Visa or Mastercard.
- Regional bus lines 331, 355 and 632 also serve the airport.
The free bus
- From 20 April 2026 the Airport Express between the airport and Ostrava carries passengers free of charge.
- Before that it was 32 CZK, paid by tapping a contactless card or an ODISka on the terminal when boarding.
- You have to show the driver a qualifying document to travel free, so have your boarding pass to hand.
- The bus waits up to 60 minutes for a delayed flight, which very few airport services do.
The train
- Ostrava Airport has its own railway station, served by line S8.
- The line runs Ostrava stred, Ostrava hlavni nadrazi, Ostrava-Svinov, Studenka, Mosnov.
- Fares depend on distance under the ODIS tariff, and are bought on the train from a machine or the conductor.
- Bus stops are in front of the railway terminal, so changing between the two is easy.
Regional buses
- Lines 331 (Ostrava to Mosnov), 355 and 632 serve the airport as part of the regional network.
