Pick yours for the routes into town, what they cost, and the trap particular to that airport.

Václav Havel Airport is 17 km west of central Prague. Trolleybus 59 to metro line A costs CZK 50 and often beats a taxi in rush hour; night buses 907 and 910 cover arrivals after 23:45. Brno-Tuřany is 20 minutes from Brno main station on bus E76.

  • Trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín on metro A costs CZK 50 and often beats a taxi in rush hour - 17 minutes on the trolleybus, then 10 on the metro to Můstek.
  • That CZK 50 is a 90-minute transfer ticket covering the metro, trams and buses, bought by contactless card at the stop, on board, or in the PID Lítačka app.
  • The Airport Express to Hlavní nádraží is CZK 200 and runs every 30 minutes from 05:30 to 22:00. Ordinary PID tickets are not valid on it.
  • Uber is Prague Airport's contracted partner, at a guaranteed fixed CZK 400 to 700 into Prague 1. Never get into an unmarked car whose driver approaches you inside the terminal.
  • After 23:45 the night buses 907 and 910 run direct to the centre, every 30 minutes, still CZK 50.
Václav Havel Airport Prague

Prague's international airport is about 17 km west of the city centre. Verified options as of 15 February 2026:

  • Trolleybus 59 + metro line A - Terminal 1 / Terminal 2 to Nádraží Veleslavín on metro A, from stops directly outside both arrivals halls.
  • Hours - 04:20–23:45, every 3–10 minutes. 17 minutes on the trolleybus, then 10 minutes on the metro to Můstek/Muzeum. Travellers on r/Prague report the high-capacity trolleybus plus metro is often faster than a taxi in rush hour.
  • Fare - CZK 50 for a 90-minute transfer ticket on paper, CZK 46 in the PID Litacka app. Children under 15 and seniors over 65 travel free or reduced under the PID tariff on proof of age; a passport works.
  • Buying - contactless card at the machine on the stop or on board (validator by the door), or through the PID Lítačka app.
  • Bus 100 + metro line B - Terminal 1 / Terminal 2 to Zličín on metro B. Good for western and southern Prague, same CZK 50 fare for 90 minutes.
  • Airport Express (AE) bus - direct to Prague Main Station (Hlavní nádraží), no changes.
  • Hours - every 20 to 30 minutes through the day and hourly overnight, a night service reinstated on 21 March 2026. The ride takes about 40 minutes.
  • Fare - CZK 200 one way. PID tickets are not valid on this line.
  • Buying - from the driver (contactless or cash), at Prague Public Transit information desks, or online.
  • Official taxis and ride-hailing - Uber is the contracted partner of Prague Airport.
  • Where to board - marked ranks directly outside the arrivals halls of both terminals.
  • Booking - the Uber app, or the self-service kiosks in the arrivals halls.
  • Fare - a guaranteed fixed price calculated before the ride; CZK 400–700 into central Prague (Prague 1) depending on demand.
  • Alternative - Bolt works the same way, from designated parking areas in front of the terminals.
  • Warning - never get into an unmarked car whose driver approaches you inside the terminal. Overcharging by several hundred percent is the norm.
  • Night transport (00:00–04:30) - night buses 907 and 910 run direct between the airport and the centre (Hlavní nádraží, I. P. Pavlova), every 30 minutes, CZK 50.
Brno-Tuřany Airport

A regional international airport in the South Moravian region, handling charter and selected scheduled flights.

  • Buses E76 and N89 - daytime line E76 runs Brno Airport to Brno Main Station in about 20 minutes, every 30 minutes; night line N89 runs 23:00–05:00, hourly.
  • Fare - standard DPMB tariff, zones 100+101. A two-zone ticket is CZK 25–34, paid by contactless card at the on-board reader.
  • Taxis and ride-hailing - Bolt and Uber both work reliably in Brno, at CZK 250–400 from the airport to the Main Station.
Which option suits which traveller
  • Solo traveller / budget - trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín metro. CZK 50, about 30 minutes to the centre.
  • Family with children and luggage - Uber or Bolt, straight from the terminal to your hotel, with no wrestling suitcases through the metro.
  • Night arrival after 23:45 - night buses 907 / 910 from Prague Airport at CZK 50, or Uber/Bolt at night rates.
