- This is different from Daegu and the southern airports, which point to bustago.or.kr, so use the site the airport names.
Where you are
- The airport is in Hoengseong county, and is sometimes called Hoengseong Airport for that reason.
- Wonju is the largest city in Gangwon province, about 20 km south-west.
- Chuncheon is the provincial capital, north.
The airport's role
- It shares its runway with a Republic of Korea Air Force base.
- Commercial flights are essentially Jeju services.
- The KTX Gangneung line runs through Wonju, putting Seoul about an hour away by train, which limits what the airport can offer.
