The airport lists two kinds of public transport: bus and taxi.
The city buses are listed in two groups: services towards Yeosu and services towards Suncheon.
Check the direction before boarding. The two towns are on opposite sides of the airport.
Yeosu is the coastal city to the south, on the peninsula and the islands.
Suncheon is inland to the north, and has the Suncheon Bay wetlands and the KTX station.
Intercity bus tickets must be issued in advance, from a machine or an app.

The airport sits between the two cities, at Yulchon in Yeosu, which is why it serves both.

The airport's public transport listing divides the city buses into services towards Yeosu and services towards Suncheon.
That is the single most important thing to check on arrival: the airport is between the two, and the wrong bus takes you the wrong way.
Taxi is the other listed option.

Yeosu is on the coast to the south, a port city built across a peninsula and its islands, host of the 2012 World Expo. The night view from the Dolsan bridge is its best-known sight.
Suncheon is inland to the north, known for the Suncheonman Bay wetland reserve and the National Garden, and it has a KTX station.

Flights are domestic, principally to Seoul Gimpo and Jeju.
The KTX to Yeosu Expo station competes directly with the Seoul flights and is often the better option.
