Practical notes
- The walk from Hewletts Road is about ten minutes along an arterial road. With luggage it is not appealing.
- Taxi or ride-hail from the terminal is short and cheap, given the airport is right beside the built-up area.
- Tauranga is the main city of the Bay of Plenty, and the airport handles domestic flights to Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
