Getting from Toronto Pearson Airport to the city

UP Express

Toronto's airport train is fast, frequent and reliable, and the fare depends entirely on how you pay.

• About 25 minutes to Union Station, calling at Bloor and Weston.
• Every 15 minutes, from about 04:55 to 01:00.
• Adult one way: about CAD 12.35 buying a ticket.
• About CAD 9.25 with Presto - the regional fare card, tapped at the platform.

That is roughly a 25 per cent discount for using a card, and the ticket machines do not push you towards it.

• Presto cards are sold at the station and work across the TTC subway, streetcars, buses and GO Transit.
• Contactless bank cards are also accepted on much of the network now - check whether the UP Express reader takes yours before queueing for a card.
• Under-12s ride free, and students save about 40 per cent with Presto.

Union Station

• The TTC subway (Line 1) for the rest of Toronto.
• GO Transit for the wider region - Hamilton, Oshawa, Barrie.
• VIA Rail for Montreal, Ottawa and Windsor.

If you are not staying in Toronto, you may not need to leave the station.

The cheaper, slower way

• TTC bus 900 Airport Express runs from the terminals to Kipling station on the subway, on an ordinary TTC fare.
• It costs a fraction of UP Express and takes considerably longer once you add the subway ride downtown.
• Worth it if you are on a budget and not carrying much; not worth it late at night with luggage.
