Brasov Ghimbav Airport (GHV) to the city

Express line A1 runs from Brasov railway station to the airport for 4 lei, with 13 departures a day timed to the flight schedule.

  • Line A1 is the airport bus, and it is the first public transport line this airport ever had.
  • A ticket is 4 lei, valid 60 minutes, the same as any other RATBV route.
  • Thirteen departures a day in the first phase, timed to the flights.
  • First arrival 06:50, last 19:00. Nothing after seven in the evening.
  • The route runs from Brasov railway station via Centrul Civic, Livada Postei and Bartolomeu.
  • Frequency increases with passenger demand, so check the current timetable rather than that figure.

A new airport, a new bus

  • Brasov-Ghimbav opened recently and had no public transport at all until RATBV introduced line A1 on 15 June.
  • 4 lei for 60 minutes, the standard RATBV fare, with no airport surcharge.
  • Thirteen departures a day in the first phase, correlated with the flight programme.

From the airportAeroport, Municipal, Biserica Bartolomeu, Livada Postei, Hidro A, Gara Brasov
  • Livada Postei is the central interchange in Brasov, and the one most arrivals want.
  • Gara Brasov is the railway station, with trains to Bucharest and into the Carpathians.

The evening gap

  • The last arrival in the first phase was 19:00. A flight landing later than that has no A1.
  • RATBV says frequency will rise with demand, so the current timetable may be better than the launch one. Check it.
