Getting from Bundaberg Airport to the city

The honest position

• The nearest stop is CQ University (Bundaberg), about 800 metres away, on the Central Queensland University campus that adjoins the airport.
• Routes 608 and 610, Innes Park North to Sugarland via the city, both serve it.
• Route 608 runs 07:18 to 17:00 with about 10 scheduled calls; route 610 runs 09:20 to 14:20 with about 12.

What that means

• Roughly a dozen trips a day, at a stop eight hundred metres from the terminal, is not a workable arrival plan for most people.

• Bundaberg is best known for its rum and its sugar cane.
• It is also the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, with Lady Elliot Island reached by light aircraft from this airport.
• Mon Repos, just outside town, is one of the largest loggerhead turtle rookeries in the South Pacific.
