Three trunk routes leave the airport every 15 minutes from 03:30 to 22:30. Eleven pesos, and children travel free.

Linea 5 is a new, fully electric BRT that starts at the airport. It opened in June 2026.
Three trunk routes leave from the terminal:
T01 Airport - Chapalita Inn (with a match-day variant T01-A to Estadio Chivas and Tabachines).
T02 Airport - Agua Azul, the park just south of the centre.
T03 Airport - Expo GDL, the convention centre.
Every 15 minutes on each trunk route.
Operating hours 03:30 to 22:30 - unusually early for a Mexican BRT.
32 km of route across five municipalities: El Salto, Tlajomulco, Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara and Zapopan.
The general fare is 11 pesos, 5 pesos for students. Children aged 5 to 12 travel free, up to two trips a day. Older people and other groups get 50 per cent off.
Transfers to some other lines are half price and to others free.
The buses are air conditioned with USB charging and luggage racks - built for airport passengers rather than adapted for them.

Guadalajara's airport had no mass transit until June 2026. Linea 5, a fully electric bus rapid transit line, now runs from the terminal into the city.
It is 32 kilometres long, crossing five municipalities - El Salto, Tlajomulco, Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara and Zapopan - and the state says it cuts journey times by up to 60 per cent.
It runs along Carretera a Chapala, the road between the airport and the city, which was rebuilt as part of the project.

T01: Airport - Chapalita Inn. Along Carretera a Chapala then Periferico. Chapalita Inn is the interchange for the western side of the city.
T01-A: Airport - Estadio Chivas - Tabachines. Match days only.
T02: Airport - Parque Agua Azul. Along Carretera a Chapala then Calzada Gonzalez Gallo, ending at the park just south of the historic centre. This is the one for downtown Guadalajara.
T03: Airport - Expo Guadalajara, the convention centre.
Each trunk route runs about every 15 minutes.

03:30 to 22:30. The early start is genuinely useful for a dawn departure.
11 pesos general, 5 pesos for students.
Children aged 5 to 12 travel free, up to two free trips a day. Under-fives free.
Older people and other groups qualifying for concessions pay half.
Transfers: half price onto some other lines in the network, free onto others.

All 41 units are fully electric, with air conditioning, USB charging points and luggage racks.
That last detail is the giveaway that this was designed as an airport line, not just a suburban corridor that happens to pass an airport.

Guadalajara is Mexico's second city and the airport is about 17 km south of it, on the Chapala road.
Lake Chapala is 15 km the other way, and Tequila is 70 km north-west.
Taxis and authorised ground transport are sold inside the terminal; the airport publishes the licensed operators on its own site.
