Bornholm (RNN): a proper bus, on a page last updated in 2021

Unlike the other small Danish airports, Bornholm has a conventional route bus between Ronne and the terminal, run by BAT. The airport's page pointing at it carries a last-updated date of 23 November 2021.

  • There is a scheduled bus between Ronne and Bornholm Airport, run by BAT, the island's bus company.
  • The timetable is on bat.dk, which the airport links to rather than reproducing.
  • This is a conventional route bus, not a booked flexible service. That makes Bornholm the exception among the small Danish airports.
  • The airport's own bus and taxi page was last updated on 23 November 2021. Check bat.dk for current times.
  • An ordinary taxi can be booked from DanTaxi on +45 48 48 48 48.
  • Ronne is the island's main town and ferry port, with sailings to Ystad in Sweden and to Koge near Copenhagen.
  • The airport sits just south of Ronne.
  • Most people reach Bornholm by ferry through Ystad, so the airport is the fast alternative rather than the default.
  • BAT covers the whole island, so the airport bus connects into a network that reaches Svaneke, Gudhjem, Allinge and Dueodde.

The bus

  • BAT, the Bornholm bus company, runs between Ronne and Bornholm Airport.
  • The airport links to bat.dk for the timetable rather than publishing times itself.
  • This is a normal route bus. At Karup you have to order the Flexbus in advance, and at Sonderborg the service has no stops at all; Bornholm has an ordinary one, which is worth knowing if you are comparing Danish regional airports.
  • BAT's network covers the whole island, so from Ronne you can continue to Svaneke, Gudhjem, Allinge, Dueodde and the rest without a car.

The date on the page

  • The airport's bus and taxi page carries "Senest opdateret 23-11-2021".
  • Five years is long enough for an island bus network to be renumbered. Take the route from bat.dk, not from the airport page.

Taxi

  • DanTaxi takes bookings on +45 48 48 48 48.

Where this is

  • The airport is just south of Ronne, the island's main town.
  • Ronne is also the ferry port, with sailings to Ystad in Sweden, which is the fastest surface route from Copenhagen, and to Koge on Zealand.
  • Bornholm sits in the Baltic between Sweden and Poland, which is why the flight from Copenhagen exists at all.
