Sonderborg (SGD): Flextur has no stops and no timetable

- Flextur is the public transport to Sonderborg Airport, run by Sydtrafik.
- There are no stops and no timetables. You are collected from an address.
- It covers anywhere in Sonderborg and Aabenraa municipalities, every day from 06:00 to 24:00.
- It works both ways, including from the airport back to a home address in those municipalities.
- Book at least 2 hours before you want to be collected, on 76 608 608.
- The phone booking line is open every day 08:00 to 20:00.

- The fare is a minimum charge plus 7 kr per kilometre beyond the first 5 km.
- The page contradicts itself on the minimum. The text says 45 kr; both worked examples use 35 kr. Ask when you book.
- Worked examples given: Radhustorvet in Sonderborg to the airport, 8 km, quoted at 56 kr; Torvet in Aabenraa, 32 km, quoted at 224 kr.
What Flextur is
- Sydtrafik's Flextur is a form of passenger transport with no stops and no timetables.
- You can be collected anywhere in Sonderborg and Aabenraa municipality and driven to Sonderborg Airport, every day of the week from 06:00 to 24:00.
- It works in reverse too, taking you from the airport to a home address in either municipality.
Booking
- Call 76 608 608 at least 2 hours before you want to be collected.
- The line is open every day from 08:00 to 20:00.
- A phone booking can only be paid in cash. Book through the website if you want to use a card.
- Tell them the time you must arrive by, which the airport suggests should be about 15 minutes before departure. The driver may take a detour for other passengers, so the arrival time is what they plan around.
The fare, and the contradiction in it
| Example | Distance | Quoted |
|---|---|---|
| Radhustorvet, Sonderborg to the airport | 8 km | 56 kr |
| Torvet, Aabenraa to the airport | 32 km | 224 kr |
- The rule as published is a minimum charge, then 7 kr per kilometre beyond the first 5 km.
- The minimum is given twice and differently. The text says you pay at least 45 kr; both worked examples compute from 35 kr (35 + 3x7 = 56, and 35 + 27x7 = 224).
- Ask for the price when you book. With a discrepancy on the operator's own page, the quote you are given is the only number worth relying on.
Sharing
- The driver may make a small detour to collect or drop other passengers.
- You pay only for your own journey by the direct route, not for the detour.
