Lodz Airport (LCJ) to the city
The 30 minute ride into the centre needs a 40 minute ticket at 5.60 zloty, unless you use the stop based tariff that has been running since 1 January 2026.
- A 40 minute ticket is 5.60 zl full, 2.80 zl reduced, which is what the roughly 30 minute ride to the centre needs.
- The 20 minute ticket at 4.40 zl will not cover it, the 80 minute is 6.80 zl and a 24 hour ticket is 18.00 zl.
- Since 1 January 2026 there is a stop based tariff: 1.00 zl for the first stop then 0.50 zl for each further stop, up to 19 stops, half price reduced. It is only cheaper for short hops, and it caps at 10.00 zl if you fail to confirm getting off.
- Bus 65 is the airport line, on the MPK Lodz city network.
- It runs as 65A and 65B, and the variants do not all serve the airport.
- Check the destination board for LOTNISKO before boarding, not just the number.
- The airport terminus is on ul. Soltyka, and some journeys end at the SORTOWNIA loop instead.
- Lodz Fabryczna, the main station, is about 30 minutes away.

- The airport to Lodz Fabryczna takes about 30 minutes, so the 40 minute ticket at 5.60 zl is the one to buy. The 20 minute ticket does not stretch.
- The stop based tariff, new on 1 January 2026, is not for this journey. It charges per stop up to a maximum of 19, and the airport run crosses the whole city, so a time ticket wins.
- Scan the QR code as you board to start a stop based journey, and confirm getting off. Failing to confirm charges you 10.00 zl.
- The 24 hour ticket at 18.00 zl pays for itself on the fourth journey, which makes it worth it for a day of moving around rather than a single transfer.
The line that is not one line
- MPK Lodz runs 65 in lettered variants, and the timetable distinguishes journeys that reach LOTNISKO from those that turn at the SORTOWNIA loop on ul. Soltyka.
- The practical rule: read the destination, not the number. A bus showing 65 is not necessarily going to the airport.
- The airport stops are immediately before the terminal entrance, so once you are on the right bus there is nothing else to find.
Where it goes
- The route runs across the city through Jana Pawla II, Wlokniarzy, Kopernika, Zeromskiego, Zielona and Zachodnia towards Baluty and Radogoszcz.
- Lodz Fabryczna, the modern underground main station, is about 30 minutes from the airport.
- Lodz Kaliska is the other major station, on the western side, closer to the airport.
