Poznan Lawica Airport (POZ) to the city
Bus 159 runs to Poznan Glowny every 15 to 20 minutes, and the ticket you need is a timed one: 7 PLN for 45 minutes.
- Poznan sells tickets by time, not by journey. 5 PLN buys 15 minutes, 7 PLN buys 45, 9 PLN buys 90.
- Buy the 45 minute ticket for the airport run. Fifteen minutes will not cover it.
- The clock runs from validation, and if it expires mid journey you must validate another ticket.
- Bus 159 connects the airport with Poznan Glowny railway station, every 15 minutes at peak and every 20 otherwise.
- Reduced tickets are half price: 2.50, 3.50 and 4.50 PLN.
- Tickets are sold at kiosks in Terminal 2 and at the machine by the bus stop, with machines on an increasing number of buses.
Buying time
| Ticket | Normal | Reduced |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 15 minutes | 5 PLN | 2.50 PLN |
| Up to 45 minutes | 7 PLN | 3.50 PLN |
| Up to 90 minutes | 9 PLN | 4.50 PLN |
- This is the thing visitors get wrong in Poznan. The cheapest ticket is not a single fare, it is fifteen minutes, and the airport run is longer than that.
- The clock starts when you validate, and ZTM is explicit: if the time runs out and you want to keep travelling, validate another ticket.
- Two reduced tickets cannot be combined to make a full fare.
The bus
- Line 159 links the airport with Poznan Glowny, the main railway station.
- Every 15 minutes at peak, every 20 otherwise and at weekends.
- Lines 148 and 177 also serve the corridor, and the routes have been reorganised more than once, so check the current pattern.
Where to buy

- A ticket machine at the bus stop before Terminal 2.
- Machines on board an increasing number of buses.
