Getting from Warsaw Chopin Airport to the city

One ticket for everything

Warsaw is unusually good at this, and the fare is the reason.

• A 75-minute ZTM ticket costs about 4.40 PLN, roughly one euro.
• It covers the SKM train from the airport and every connection - tram, bus, metro - inside the 75 minutes.
• No airport supplement, no dedicated airport fare, no separate card.

Set beside Madrid's EUR 3 supplement or Barcelona's EUR 5.90 airport ticket, this is remarkable value, and it is the ordinary local fare rather than a tourist offer.

The trains

• SKM S2 towards Sulejowek Milosna and SKM S3 towards Legionowo both call at the airport.
• The station is beneath the terminal.
• Both run into central Warsaw - check which station suits your accommodation, since they diverge beyond the centre.
• KM (Koleje Mazowieckie) trains also serve the airport on the same tickets.

Validate, and keep it

• Validate when you board. An unvalidated ticket is treated as no ticket.
• Keep it for the whole 75 minutes including your connections - the inspection is on the connecting tram as often as on the train.

Not to be confused with Modlin

• Warsaw Modlin (WMI) is the low-cost airport, about 40 km north, and getting into the city from there is a shuttle bus plus a train on a combined ticket. It has its own page. If your onward flight leaves from the other one, allow real time to cross the city.
