Zielona Gora (IEG): the bus is 15 zloty, and ignore the train timetable

A signed airport bus runs from the PKS bus station in Zielona Gora for 15 zloty and meets the Warsaw arrival. The airport station exists, but the timetable on the airport site is from 2017.

  • A marked airport bus runs from the PKS bus station in Zielona Gora.
  • A one way ticket is 15 PLN, bought from the driver or in advance at e-podroznik.pl.
  • It also collects passengers at the airport after the Warsaw arrival, so it works in both directions.
  • On the way out of Zielona Gora it stops at Zarugiewicza (the car park by the Palm House), Staszica (by the ZSEiS school) and Sulechowska (by the athletics stadium).
  • The Palm House stop is affected by construction. A multi-storey car park is being built there, and the airport suggests Pl. Pilsudskiego, MZK stop 268 Urzad Miasta, instead.
  • From Gorzow Wielkopolski the bus is also 15 PLN. Zielona Gora to Gorzow on the same service is 20 PLN.
  • There is a railway station at Babimost, and transport between the station and the airport can be arranged with the airport in advance.
  • Do not plan around the train times on the airport's site. The timetable it displays is dated 20 February to 11 March 2017.
  • By car it is about 35 minutes from Zielona Gora and about 50 from Gorzow Wielkopolski.
  • LOT is the only airline here and Warsaw is the only scheduled destination, so the bus is built around that one flight.

The airport bus

  • A marked airport bus leaves from the stand at the PKS bus station in Zielona Gora.
  • It also picks up at the airport after the arrival from Warsaw, which is the flight almost everyone here is on.

The train, and why not to trust the page

  • Babimost has a railway station, and the airport says transport between the station and the terminal can be arranged with it in advance.
  • But the timetables published on the airport's own train page are dated 20 February to 11 March 2017. That is nine years stale.
  • Treat the train as something to arrange rather than to look up here. Check current times with PKP, and confirm the station transfer with the airport.

By car

  • About 35 minutes from Zielona Gora, about 50 from Gorzow Wielkopolski.
  • The road network is genuinely good for a field this size: the A2 motorway, the S3 expressway, national roads DK 12, DK 27 and DK 32, and regional roads 302, 303 and 304.

What flies here

  • LOT is the only scheduled airline and Warsaw is the only scheduled destination.
  • Charter flights run alongside it, which is why the bus timetable is built around specific arrivals rather than a clock.
