Kalmar (KLR): route 402 every twenty minutes, thirteen minutes to the station
Unlike its neighbours in the region, Kalmar has a real bus by the terminal: local route 402 passes every twenty minutes and reaches Kalmar Central in about thirteen.

- The ride to Kalmar Central takes about 13 minutes.
- The stop is directly beside the airport area, outside the nearest car park. Not a walk down a main road.
- KLT, Kalmar lanstrafik, runs it and publishes the timetable and fares.
- This is a genuinely good arrangement for a Swedish regional airport. Norrkoping has no stop at all and Sundsvall's airport bus ended in 2013.
- The airport gives its distance from the centre as about 5 km on the bus page and about 4 km on its directions page. Either way it is short.
- The taxi queue is directly to the right of the terminal exit, with the first free car at the front.
- Pre-booked taxis wait on the other side of the crossing, along the island. Look there if you have booked.
- Order a taxi in good time, which the airport asks explicitly.
- Eight firms have agreements with the airport, including Kalmar Taxi (0480-28200), Din Taxi Kalmar (0480-474747) and Cabonline (0480-44 44 44).
- By car it is right beside the E22, signposted from both directions and from Oland.
The bus

- The stop is in direct connection with the airport area, outside the nearest car park.
- KLT, Kalmar lanstrafik, operates it. Fares follow the KLT zone tariff, and its journey planner has the times.
- This is worth saying plainly: among the Swedish regional airports, Kalmar is the one where the bus works the way you would hope. Norrkoping has no stop at the airport and Sundsvall's airport bus stopped running in 2013.
How far out it is
- The airport's bus page says about 5 km from the centre. Its directions page says about 4 km, just west of the city beside the E22.
- A small internal disagreement, and it changes nothing: this is a short hop either way.
Taxi
- The queue is directly to the right as you leave the terminal, and the first free car is at the front of it.
- Pre-booked taxis wait on the other side of the crossing, along the island. If you booked and the queue looks wrong, that is where to look.
- The airport asks you to order in good time.
- Eight firms hold agreements with the airport: Blue Cars (0480-17000), Bee Ride (070-053 01 87), Cabonline (0480-44 44 44), Din Taxi Kalmar (0480-474747), Gripen Taxi (0480-25000), Hamdan Taxi (070-779 92 11), Kalmar Taxi (0480-28200) and Ben's Taxi (0480-66555).
By car
- The airport is immediately beside the E22. Coming from north or south it is signposted before and at the exit.
- From the west, join the E22 northbound towards Norrkoping, and the airport exit comes up shortly after.
- From Oland, take the E22 southbound towards Malmo, then about 1 km to the airport exit.
