Stockholm Vasteras Airport (VST) to Stockholm
The airport coach runs only to meet flights - one or two departures a day - and takes about 75 minutes.
- There is one coach and it is timed to your flight. Flygbussarna runs to Cityterminalen with only one or two connections a day, tied to the flight schedule. There is no next bus in twenty minutes.
- The journey takes about 75 minutes and an adult single is 229 SEK.
- Tickets can be bought online, from a machine or from the driver, but online is cheaper.
- Stockholm has three airports and this is the far one. Arlanda (ARN) has the Arlanda Express; Bromma is inside the city; Vasteras is roughly 100 km west of Stockholm.
- Miss the coach and you are on Swedish regional transport via Vasteras city - possible, but slow and not cheap.
Where the airport actually is
Stockholm Vasteras is next to Vasteras, roughly 100 km west of Stockholm. It shares its marketing name with a city it is nowhere near, alongside Skavsta to the south - and neither is Arlanda (ARN), which is the airport with the express train.
The coach
Flygbussarna operates the only public transport link into Stockholm, to Cityterminalen beside Stockholm Central, in about 75 minutes. An adult single is 229 SEK.
The critical difference from Skavsta or Arlanda: the service runs according to the flight schedule, with one or two connections a day. It is not a frequent shuttle. If your flight is badly delayed or you are slow through the terminal, the fallback is a regional bus into Vasteras and a train from there, which turns a 75-minute transfer into an afternoon.
Buy the ticket online or in the app rather than from the driver - the same rule as every Flygbussarna route.
