Lulea (LLA): buses 4 and 104, and bring a card
Both airport buses are ordinary Lulea city routes. Neither takes cash. Bus 4 continues to the university, bus 104 to the bus and train stations.
- Buses 4 and 104 both serve the airport, run by Lulea Lokaltrafik.
- Bus 4 goes to Smedjegatan and the city centre, then on to Lulea University.
- Bus 104 goes to Smedjegatan and the city centre, then on to Lulea bus station and train station.
- Pick 104 if you have an onward train or coach. Pick 4 for the university.
- The stop is outside the airport terminal.
- You cannot pay cash on board. Card, bus card, or a ticket bought in the LLT app or online.
- App tickets must be bought and activated before you board.
- Tickets are also sold in town at LLT info, Smedjegatan 13 H, and at Pressbyran in Strand Galleria.
- Taxis wait just outside the arrival hall.
- Swedish taxi pricing is deregulated. You are not obliged to take the first car in the rank.
- Every taxi must display a comparative price for a standard 10 km, 15 minute journey, in black digits on a yellow background.
- Ask for a fixed price. If you agree one it must be entered in the meter before the journey starts.
The buses
- Lulea Lokaltrafik runs two routes past the airport, 4 and 104. Both are ordinary city services, not airport specials.

- The choice matters if you are connecting. Only 104 takes you to the stations.
- The stop is outside the terminal building.

Paying
- Cash is not accepted on the bus. This is the thing that catches people out.
- You can pay with a bus card or a credit or debit card on board.
- Or buy in the LLT app or on the web. An app ticket must be bought and activated before you board, not after.
- In town, tickets are sold at LLT info, Smedjegatan 13 H, and at Pressbyran in Strand Galleria.
Taxi, and the Swedish pricing rules
- The rank is just outside the arrival hall.
- Sweden's taxi market is deregulated and prices are set freely by each company. Swedavia says plainly that you should choose the company and car that suits you and do not have to take the one at the front of the queue.
- Every operator must publish a comparative price, calculated on a standard journey of 10 kilometres taking 15 minutes. It is displayed in large black digits on a yellow background, with the highest comparative price the car applies shown larger still.
- Read that sticker before you get in. It is the only quick way to tell an ordinary fare from an outrageous one.
- Ask whether the company offers a fixed price. If you agree one, it must be entered and visible in the meter before the journey begins, and the meter must run throughout.
- Paying by card, you should get two pieces of paper: a delivery note for the card amount and a receipt from the taxi meter.
