Umea (UME): bus 80 at the door, the ferry bus 100 metres away
The airport bus is route 80, run by Ultra, and it uses the terminal forecourt. The Wasaline ferry connection uses a different stop on Obbolavagen.
- The airport bus is number 80, operated by Ultra, Umea's local transport company.
- It departs and arrives outside the airport terminal.
- The Wasaline stop is somewhere else. It is on Obbolavagen, about 100 metres from the entrance, past the long-term car park.
- That matters if you are connecting to the Finland ferry. Wasaline runs Umea to Vaasa across the Gulf of Bothnia, and its bus is not the airport bus.
- Buy tickets in the Ultra app or at tabussen.nu.
- Tickets are also sold at Ultra's regular service points, and on the bus with a debit or credit card.
- Taxis wait just outside the terminal.
- Several taxi companies serve the airport, and Swedavia lists their contact details rather than naming a single official operator.
- Umea Miljotaxi is on 090-12 12 12.
- Swedish taxi prices are deregulated, so read the yellow comparative price sticker before choosing a car.
The airport bus
- Route 80 is the airport bus, run by Ultra, the Umea local transport operator.
- It departs from and arrives at the forecourt outside the airport terminal.
- The full timetable is on the airport bus website, which Swedavia links to rather than publishing.
The other stop
- The Wasaline stop is on Obbolavagen, about 100 metres from the entrance, past the long-term car park.
- Wasaline is the ferry to Vaasa in Finland, a crossing of the Gulf of Bothnia, and Umea is its Swedish port.
- If that is your connection, do not wait at the airport bus stop. They are different places.
Tickets
- Buy in the Ultra app, or on tabussen.nu.
- Ultra's regular service points sell them too.
- On the bus you can pay by debit or credit card.
Taxi
- Taxis wait just outside the terminal.
- Several companies serve the airport and Swedavia lists their contacts rather than appointing one. Umea Miljotaxi is on 090-12 12 12.
- Sweden's taxi market is deregulated. Every car must display a comparative price for a standard 10 km, 15 minute journey in black on yellow, and you may pick any car in the rank rather than the first.
