Malmo Airport (MMX) to Malmo and Copenhagen
Vy flygbussarna covers Malmo C, Skanetrafiken links Svedala station, and Neptunbus runs to Copenhagen for every Wizz Air flight, bookable three days ahead.
- Neptunbus is a transfer bus for all Wizz Air departures and arrivals, running three or four times a day to and from Copenhagen.
- You must book that ticket at least three days before you travel. Turning up will not do.
- Vy flygbussarna runs the Malmo C to Malmo Airport coach, the standard city connection.
- Skanetrafiken runs between Svedala Station and the airport, connecting to trains from Malmo, Lund, Helsingborg, Ystad and Simrishamn.
- That Svedala link is the cheap way in, since it is an ordinary regional fare.
- The airport is at Sturup, about 30 km east of Malmo.
Three services, three purposes
| Service | Route |
|---|---|
| Vy flygbussarna | Malmo C to Malmo Airport |
| Neptunbus | Copenhagen, for Wizz Air flights, 3 or 4 daily |
| Skanetrafiken | Svedala Station to Malmo Airport |
- The Copenhagen bus is the unusual one. It exists because Wizz Air's Malmo flights carry a lot of Danish traffic, and it is timed to every Wizz departure and arrival.
- Book it at least three days ahead, which the airport states plainly.
The cheap route
- Skanetrafiken's Svedala connection turns the airport into an ordinary regional journey.
- At Svedala you connect to trains from Malmo, Lund and Helsingborg to the north west and Ystad and Simrishamn to the east.
- That beats the airport coach on price if you have the time and are not going to Malmo Central.
Buying
- Flygbussarna tickets from its own website, valid for any departure on the route within 3 months.
- Neptunbus tickets from Neptunbus, three days ahead.
- Skanetrafiken tickets from Skanetrafiken.
