Getting from Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport to the city

The lines named after the airport are not the line that stops there

• Transcol, the metropolitan bus network of Greater Vitoria, is run by Ceturb-GV, a state company. Its line register names exactly two services after the airport:
  • 539 T.CARAPINA / T.J.AMERICA / VIA NOVO AEROPORTO
  • 541 T.CARAPINA / T.VILA VELHA / VIA AEROPORTO
• Checking all 395 registered Transcol itineraries against Ceturb's own itinerary service gives a different answer. Neither 539 nor 541 lists an airport via. Both run along Av. Adalberto Simao Nader and Av. Fernando Ferrari, which is the road the terminal fronts, so they pass it rather than enter it.
• The only line whose itinerary names "NOVO AEROPORTO", in both directions, is 212 Maria Ortiz / Santo Antonio via Beira Mar. It carries no airport branding at all.
• Line 122 Maria Ortiz / Rodoviaria via Av. Vitoria touches "Praca do Aeroporto" on its return leg only.
• Those four lines are the entire set. If you are reading a guide that tells you to take 539 or 541 "to the airport", check where it actually stops.

Where each one gets you

• 539 is the one that reaches the city centre: Av. Nossa Senhora da Penha, Av. Cesar Hilal, Av. Vitoria, Av. Jeronimo Monteiro, then over the Ponte do Principe to Terminal Jardim America in Cariacica.
• 541 runs the other way, over the Terceira Ponte to Terminal Vila Velha, which matters because most of the beach hotels are in Vila Velha, a separate municipality.
• 212 runs through the centre and on to Santo Antonio, and is the one that actually turns into the airport.
• The Transcol fare is R$5.10, with a Sunday promotional fare of R$4.50 on the Cartao Cidadao. Two publishers disagree by a day on when the rise took effect, one saying Sunday 11 January 2026 and the other Monday 12 January 2026.
• The fare is integrated: you pay once and change buses inside the integration terminals at no extra charge. Ceturb's own example is a 90 km trip on one ticket.

The taxi tariff has a boundary in it

• Vitoria city council publishes the taxi tariff: R$6.20 flag fall, R$4.00 per km on Bandeira 1, R$4.80 per km on Bandeira 2, R$21.00 an hour waiting.
• Bandeira 2 applies whenever the trip goes beyond the municipal boundary, and also on weekdays 20:00 to 06:00, Saturdays from 14:00 and Sundays and holidays all day.
• A run from the airport to a hotel in Vila Velha crosses the boundary, so it is a Bandeira 2 fare whatever the hour.
• Luggage is a separate line on the tariff: R$1.00 per piece up to 20 by 40 by 60 cm, and R$2.00 for a supermarket trolley.
• The council's page says the tariff was set in a 2022 review and records its own last update as 27 June 2024, so ask the driver to confirm before setting off.

What could not be checked

• vitoria-airport.com.br is behind a Cloudflare challenge that returns 403 to curl, to a browser-headed fetch and to a reading proxy alike. Nothing the concessionaire publishes about its own car parks, kerbside rules or app pick-up points could be verified here, so none of it is repeated above.
• Uber's own airport page lists VIX, giving the address Av. Roza Helena Schorling Albuquerque, s/n, Aeroporto, Vitoria, ES, 29075-685, and describes kerbside drop-off at the terminal you name when booking.
