Ordinary city buses leave from the terminal basement for about 4.50 reais. The 917 runs direct to the Beira Mar tourist strip for about 10.

The airport is about 8 km from the centre of Fortaleza, 20 to 35 minutes by road.
City buses stop at the urban bus stop on the basement level of the terminal.
Line 404 runs Aeroporto, Benfica, Rodoviaria and the centre, 05:10 to 22:00.
Line 066 runs Parangaba, Papicu and the airport, 05:00 to 23:00.
Line 027 runs Siqueira, Papicu and the airport, 05:00 to 23:00.
Line 010 runs to Messejana.
The ordinary fare is about 4.50 reais, and reaching the centre takes 45 to 60 minutes with a possible change.
Line 917 runs direct from the airport to Beira Mar, the seafront tourist strip, for about 10 reais, 06:30 to 22:30.
That 917 is the one most visitors want, because it goes where the hotels are without a change.
A taxi is 35 to 55 reais to the centre or Beira Mar, and an app car 30 to 40, picking up on level 0.

Line 917 runs directly from the airport to Beira Mar, the seafront strip where most visitors stay.
It costs about 10 reais and runs from 06:30 to 22:30 daily.
No change, no negotiation, and it stops where the hotels are. For a beach holiday in Fortaleza that is the answer.

They leave from the urban bus stop on the basement level of the terminal, which is worth knowing because it is not the obvious place to look.
Line 404: Aeroporto, Benfica, Rodoviaria, the centre. 05:10 to 22:00.
Line 066: Parangaba, Papicu, Aeroporto. 05:00 to 23:00.
Line 027: Siqueira, Papicu, Aeroporto. 05:00 to 23:00.
Line 010: Aeroporto to Messejana.
The fare is about 4.50 reais, and the trip to the centre takes 45 to 60 minutes, sometimes with a change.
There is no executive coach service to this airport, only ordinary city buses and the 917.

Taxis wait at the official rank around the clock. The centre is 35 to 55 reais, Beira Mar and Praia de Iracema 35 to 55, Praia do Futuro 65 to 80.
Uber and 99 pick up on level 0, at the central kerb, at 30 to 35 reais to the centre, 30 to 40 to Beira Mar and Meireles, and 40 to 50 to Praia do Futuro.
Journey times are 15 to 30 minutes normally, up to 40 in the peak.
