Lemnos is a state airport, run by the Hellenic Aviation Service Provider rather than by a private concession.
That matters because the Fraport airports publish transport pages and the state ones largely do not.
No airport bus service is published by the airport or the civil aviation authority.
Myrina, the island capital and port, is about 18 km away on the west coast.
Arrange a taxi or a hire car before you land. Taxi numbers on Lemnos are small.
The airport was certified to EASA standards in February 2025, alongside Karpathos.

Lemnos, along with Karpathos and a number of other island airfields, is operated by the Hellenic Aviation Service Provider, the state body, rather than by Fraport.
The practical difference for a traveller is information: the Fraport airports publish a bus and taxi page for each terminal, and the state ones generally do not.
Both Lemnos and Karpathos were certified to EASA standards in February 2025.

Myrina is the island's capital and port, roughly 18 km west of the airport.
There is no published airport bus. The island's KTEL network is built around the villages rather than around flights.
Taxis meet flights, but the fleet is small for a summer arrival.
Book a car or a transfer in advance if you are arriving on a busy summer evening.

Lemnos sits in the north Aegean, between Lesbos and Samothrace, with ferries to Kavala and Lavrio.
It is a quiet island by Greek standards, which is why its air and bus services are thin.
