- Entrance B connects directly to the international and domestic terminals.

Take Entrance B
- The metro station at the airport is named Meenambakkam (Chennai International Airport), which is the first thing to know because the signage uses the local place name rather than the airport's.
- Entrance B opens directly to the Chennai International and Domestic terminals.
- Entrance A opens onto GST Road and the Aero Hub Mall, which is useful if that is where you are going and a long walk with luggage if it is not.
The platforms
- Platform 1 runs towards Wimco Nagar Depot.
- Platform 2 runs towards Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central, which is Chennai Central, the main railway station.
- That second direction is the one most arriving passengers want, for the centre and for onward trains.
Accessibility
- Both entrances have lifts and escalators, and the station is wheelchair accessible, which is not true of every station on the network.
- The station helpline is 044-2379-2031, with a 24 hour metro helpline on 1860-425-1515.
The alternative
- Prepaid taxis and app-based cabs work normally at Chennai. The metro is worth it when the traffic on GST Road is the problem, which is most of the working day.
