Alicante Airport (ALC) to the city

Line C-6 runs to central Alicante and the railway station every day of the year. The single is 4.60 EUR, with a card sold only on board that brings it down to 1.25 EUR a trip.

  • Line C-6 is the airport bus, running to the centre of Alicante and the railway station every day of the year.
  • The single fare is 4.60 EUR including VAT, under the current Generalitat fare resolution.
  • Vectalia's own fares page still shows 4.50 EUR, so expect one or the other and do not be surprised by ten cents.
  • Over 65s pay 1.00 EUR and large family holders 1.15 EUR or 0.70 EUR.
  • A 10 trip recharge costs 12.50 EUR, on a card that costs 2 EUR.
  • That card can only be bought and topped up on board the C-6 itself, not at the airport and not in town.

  • Contactless payment works on the C-6, so a bank card is enough to board.
  • The 10 trip card is the only real discount and it is sold in an odd place: on board the airport line, and nowhere else.
  • For two people staying a week and using the bus twice, the card plus recharge is worth doing the arithmetic on before you tap a bank card.

Where it goes

  • The centre of Alicante and the railway station, plus other stops across the city, every day of the year.
  • The station connection matters: from there, Cercanias and long distance trains reach Elche, Murcia and Valencia.
  • For Benidorm and the northern Costa Blanca, long distance coaches also serve the terminal, and the tram from Alicante continues up the coast.
