Airport to Santander bus station3.20 EUR
  • Every half hour, about 15 minutes, roughly 06:30 to 23:00.
  • The airport is at Parayas, close to the city, which is why the run is short and cheap.
  • The interoperable Cantabria transport card (TITC) costs 3.00 EUR to issue, works on regional and urban buses across the region, and buys discounted fares. It is sold at Alsa ticket offices in Santander, Torrelavega and Laredo and at over 200 authorised retailers.

The onward coaches, and the catch

  • Alsa coaches serve Bilbao, Gijon, Oviedo and Laredo directly from the airport.
  • They stop only when passengers have bought tickets in advance. Turning up and waving is not enough, and this is the single thing that catches people out here.
  • Book the onward coach before you fly.

Into the city

  • The bus station is in the centre, on level minus one of the interchange, next to the railway station.
