Badajoz (BJZ): line 12 on weekdays, an app booking at weekends
Tubasa line 12 runs hourly on weekdays only. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the airport is served by BusKme, an on-demand bus you book in the Tubasa app.
- Tubasa line 12 is the airport bus. Its full route is Valdepasillas to Villafranco to the Airport to Balboa.
- Weekdays only, 07:20 to 20:20, every 60 minutes.
- At weekends and on public holidays there is no line 12. The airport is served instead by BusKme, Tubasa's on-demand bus.
- BusKme is booked in the Tubasa app. If you land on a Saturday without the app, plan on a taxi.
- Once an hour is thin for an airport. Check the flight against the timetable before assuming the bus works.
- The airport is 14 km from Badajoz.
- The minimum taxi fare from the airport to Badajoz is 20.00 euro. Aena also publishes a minimum airport service of 20.75 euro.
- The airport journey is exempt from supplements, so no extra for bags on that trip.
- The ordinary meter is 3.53 euro minimum and 0.99 euro per kilometre, with waiting at 17.00 euro.

The bus, and the weekend catch
- Tubasa runs line 12 between the city and the airport, on the route Valdepasillas, Villafranco, Airport, Balboa.
- It runs on weekdays from 07:20 to 20:20, once an hour. That is the whole service.
- On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays line 12 does not run. Aena says the service is provided instead by BusKme, Tubasa's on-demand bus, available through the Tubasa app.
- That is a real trap. An on-demand bus you have to book in a Spanish-language app is not something to discover on arrival. If you are landing at the weekend, either install it in advance or budget for the taxi.

The taxi
- The airport is 14 km out, and Aena calls the taxi the only means of public transport to or from it, which tells you what it thinks of the once-hourly bus.
