Lanzarote Airport (ACE) to Arrecife and the resorts

Line 22 covers Arrecife on weekdays in 10 minutes; line 23 replaces it at weekends and takes 15. Late flights are met by lines 61 and 162.

  • Line 22 runs Monday to Friday only, Arrecife to the airport in 10 minutes, every 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Line 23 runs only at weekends, via Playa Honda, taking 15 minutes, once an hour.
  • So the two Arrecife lines never run on the same day. Check which day you land before planning around one of them.
  • Line 22 operates 05:30 to 23:00 towards the airport and 05:45 to 23:15 back; line 23 only 07:00 to 22:00.
  • For Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, line 161 runs every 30 to 60 minutes between 07:30 and 21:30.
  • Late arrivals are covered: line 61 leaves at 22:30 and line 162 at 23:16 and 00:16, both from Terminal 1 to Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.

  • This is the trap at Lanzarote. Most write ups name line 22 without saying it does not run at weekends, and line 23 has a shorter operating window on top.
  • Line 22 runs every 40 to 50 minutes, from 05:30 to 23:00 towards the airport and 05:45 to 23:15 from it.
  • Line 23 runs hourly, 07:00 to 22:00 towards the airport and 07:17 to 22:17 back.

The resort strip

  • Line 161 is the workhorse: airport, Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca, every 30 to 60 minutes, 08:25 to 21:25 towards the airport and 07:30 to 21:30 the other way.
  • Line 61 leaves Terminal 1 at 22:30 for Puerto del Carmen, Uga and Playa Blanca.
  • Line 162 leaves at 23:16 and 00:16 on the same corridor, from Arrecife station through the airport.
  • Between them, a late flight is covered as far as the south of the island, which is unusual for a Canary airport.

Fares

  • Neither the airport nor the operator publishes single fares on the pages linked from the terminal.
  • Travel cards cost 2 EUR and are topped up between 5 EUR and 50 EUR.
  • Expect to pay the driver and check the price shown rather than relying on a figure from a guide.
