Salamanca (SLM): taxi only, on the intercity meter
Aena lists no bus. The taxi runs on the published intercity tariff with no airport supplement, so watch that the meter starts at the beginning of the trip.
- There is no bus. Aena's getting-there section for Salamanca lists car and taxi and nothing else.
- Intercity fares apply from the airport, because the airport is outside the city boundary.
- There is no special airport supplement. Aena states this explicitly, which is not true of every Spanish airport.
- Check the meter is started at the beginning of the journey, at the minimum fare. Aena says so on its own page.
- Intercity fare 3 is 0.68 euro per kilometre Monday to Friday 07:00 to 23:00 and Saturday 07:00 to 16:00.
- Intercity fare 4 is 0.78 euro per kilometre at night, on Sundays and holidays, and Saturday afternoons and evenings.
- Inside the city, fare 1 is a 4.05 euro minimum and 1.16 euro per kilometre; fare 2 at night is 5.05 euro and 1.50 euro.
- Suitcases of 50 cm or more cost 0.70 euro each.
- Radio Taxi is +34 923 250 000.
- Ask for a receipt. It is the only thing that makes a complaint possible afterwards.
The only public option is a taxi
- Aena publishes a bus page for every Spanish airport with a scheduled bus. Salamanca has none: the getting-there section is car and taxi.
- The rank is signed at the terminal.
The tariff
- From the airport, intercity fares apply, because the airport lies outside the urban boundary. From the city out to the airport, urban fares apply.
- There is no airport supplement. Aena states this plainly for Salamanca.

- Waiting time is charged by the hour, 21.00 euro on fare 1 and 29.00 on fare 2, 16.00 on fare 3 and 19.00 on fare 4.
- Each suitcase 50 cm or larger costs 0.70 euro.
- Local fiestas shift the fare bands. Official fairs and festivals move the higher fare to start at 15:00.
Two things Aena tells you to do
- Make sure the meter starts at the beginning of the journey, showing the minimum fare.
- Ask for a receipt, without which a complaint has nothing to attach to.
