Getting from Bordeaux Merignac Airport to the city

What the tram costs

• This is the ordinary Bordeaux fare. Tram F is a normal city line that happens to end at the airport, so nobody charges an airport price for it, which is unusual in France.
• The book of ten works out at 1.57 EUR a trip, worth buying for two people making a return journey.
• Buy at the Relay press shop in the terminal, at the machines next to the stop in front of Hall B, or in the TBM app.

The line

• Tram F opened on 6 December 2025, running from the airport to Bordeaux Saint Jean station via the Hotel de Ville and Pellegrin hospital.
• The stop is right outside the terminals, by the express car park near Hall B. There is no shuttle to catch first.
• Saint Jean in 45 minutes, Hotel de Ville in 35.
• Every 10 minutes weekdays and Saturdays, every 15 on Sundays.
• From 05:00 to midnight, and until 01:00 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, which covers most late arrivals.

Connections

• Lines A, B, C, D and E all connect, so the rest of the city is a single change.
• Saint Jean is the TGV station for Paris in about two hours.

The coach

• The 30 Direct coach reaches Saint Jean in 30 minutes, every day of the year, and is faster than the tram when the traffic is kind.
