Rennes (RNS): take the C6, which stops at the terminal

Bus C6 now serves the Aeroport stop directly and reaches Republique in the centre in 20 minutes. The older route 57 does the same journey but from a stop 300 metres away.

  • Bus C6 runs to the centre of Rennes, Republique, in 20 minutes, every day.
  • It serves the stop called Aeroport, at the terminal. That is the change worth knowing: it started on 23 April.
  • Bus 57 also reaches Republique in 20 minutes, every day including weekends and public holidays.
  • But route 57's nearest stop is 300 m from the terminal, at the junction of avenue Joseph Le Brix and avenue Jules Valles. The airport publishes a map for the walk.
  • A bus runs every 20 to 30 minutes during the week.
  • A ticket is 1.50 euro and is valid for one hour.
  • Tickets are sold on the bus and at the airport information point.
  • Both routes are run by STAR, the Rennes network. Timetables are on star.fr.
  • InfoSTAR is on +33 9 70 821 800.
  • Republique is the central interchange, with the metro and the rest of the bus network.
  • Rennes station is a short ride from Republique, and the TGV reaches Paris in about an hour and a half.

Two routes, and the difference between them

  • Bus C6 takes you to the centre of Rennes, the Republique stop, in 20 minutes, every day. Since 23 April it serves the stop called Aeroport, at the terminal itself.
  • Bus 57 makes the same 20 minute journey to Republique, every day of the week including weekends and public holidays. Its nearest stop is at the junction of avenue Joseph Le Brix and avenue Jules Valles, 300 m from the terminal building.
  • So take the C6 if the timing works. The airport publishes an access map for the walk to the 57 stop, which tells you the walk is not obvious.
