Birmingham Airport (BHX) to the city
The Air-Rail Link monorail is free and takes two minutes to Birmingham International station, from where New Street is about ten minutes.

The train
- About ten minutes to Birmingham New Street, with frequent services every hour.

- Birmingham International is on the West Coast Main Line. London Euston, Coventry, Wolverhampton and the north west are all direct, so for many journeys New Street is a detour rather than a destination.
Timing
- The monorail stops at 00:30 and restarts at 03:30. A flight landing in that window means the courtesy bus, from bus stop C at the terminal to stop NB at the station.
- Otherwise there is nothing to plan, which is unusual enough to be worth saying plainly.
