HIAL's Getting Here page for Campbeltown has a taxis section and no public transport section. Pre-book, which is what the airport advises.
- The airport's Getting Here page lists taxis and nothing else. Its sister airports have a Public Transport heading; Campbeltown does not.

- The airport is at Machrihanish, PA28 6NU, near the tip of the Kintyre peninsula in Argyll and Bute.
- Machrihanish is on the Atlantic side; Campbeltown town is on the Firth of Clyde side, a few miles across the peninsula.
- This was RAF Machrihanish, which is why a peninsula of this population has a runway of this size.
- Kintyre is a long way round by road. Glasgow is about three hours by car despite being close as the crow flies, which is the reason the air service exists.
- The ferry from Ardrossan to Campbeltown runs seasonally, as an alternative to the drive.
