Brindisi Airport (BDS) to the city and the port

A circular STP line links the airport with Piazza Crispi station in 10 to 15 minutes for 1.00 EUR, every 30 minutes from 05:30 to 23:45.

  • The fare is 1.00 EUR, or 1.50 EUR bought on board.
  • Buy it in the airport at the Giunti bookshop and keep the difference.
  • Buses run every 30 minutes, from 05:30 to 23:45.
  • Piazza Crispi, the railway station, is 10 to 15 minutes away.
  • The same line continues to the port at Costa Morena, 25 to 30 minutes out, which is the stop for Greece ferries.
  • The line is circular with its terminus at the airport, so the bus you want is always the one standing there.

The route

StopTime from the airport
Car park, via del Mare15 to 20 minutes
Piazza Crispi, railway station10 to 15 minutes
Costa Morena, the port25 to 30 minutes
  • It is one circular line, so the airport is both the start and the end of it.
  • Times vary with traffic, and the airport's own figures give ranges rather than a fixed run.
  • Coming back the other way, the car park is 5 to 10 minutes from town, the station 15 to 20, and the airport 20 to 25.

The fare, and the surcharge

  • 1.00 EUR bought in advance, 1.50 EUR on board. Fifty percent is a lot on a one euro ticket.
  • The Giunti bookshop inside the airport sells tickets, which is the one place to remember on arrival.
  • Service runs 05:30 to 23:45 from Piazza Crispi, every half hour, every day of the season.

If you are heading for a ferry

  • Costa Morena is where the Greece ferries dock, and the same 1.00 EUR bus goes there.
  • Allow the full half hour, and more if you are checking in for a sailing.
